Proclamations will also be presented for the cities of Grass Valley and Nevada City. Grass Valley will be on April 14, 2026, at 6:00 pm at the Council Chambers, Grass Valley City Hall, 125 East Main Street. Nevada City’s proclamation was held on March 11th at 6:30 pm at City Hall, 317 Broad Street in Nevada City. The Nevada County Board of Supervisors will be declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month on April 7, 2026, at the Eric Rood Administrative Center (950 Maidu Ave, Nevada City, CA 95959) beginning at 9:00 am.

The Child Abuse Prevention Council of Eastern Nevada County will also be raising awareness in April. There will be pinwheels displayed in the Truckee area, and residents are encouraged to wear Blue on Fridays throughout all of Nevada County.
